Submitting a request
Requests from persons for the issue of documents confirming legal facts shall be accepted upon the applicant's arrival at the State Archives, by post, by courier or by an authorised representative.
Private information shall be provided only after the applicant has provided proof of identity. When requesting private information about himself or herself, the applicant shall indicate his or her personal identification number in the request. Where such a request is sent by post or by courier, it must be accompanied by a certified copy of the applicant's identity document. If such information is requested by a representative of the applicant, he/she shall additionally provide documents proving his/her identity and representation.
Document retrieval services provided by public archives are fee-based. The fees for the services are set out in a price list. You can pay for the services by bank transfer, at a bank or at the Perlas lottery terminals. You can find the archive's details and bank account number here. The signed request and proof of payment are sent or delivered directly to the archive.
